This product works very well. I found that if you cut with a scissors where the little line is you can tear it easier and they just pop out.

Imodium does work well, though I can't say it always works after the first dose. I don't mind that so much. Getting into the packaging of the soft gels, is entirely too difficult, however. To begin with, the foil/paper square encasing the gel is too small. It's hard to hold it and pull the foil/paper off at one time. Because that is so difficult, I have started trying to use scissors. Again, the size of the square makes it difficult to cut the blister without cutting the gel. I would like to suggest that a more user friendly packaging be considered.

The product works just fine once you get it open. I don't understand the logic behind making it so difficult to get into the packaging. No one can get the package open without scissors, not even easy with scissors. Usually the need for the product is urgent and the packaging makes it impossible to get to the medicine.

I've had a right hemicoloscopy, which is surgical removal of the right half of my colon. For several months after surgery I had 7-10 diareal bowel movements daily, with little advance warning. This meant being pretty much home bound. My surgeon recommend Imodium which has become a life changing move for me. Now I can go about my former regular routine with one to two BMs a day. Imodium doesn't build up tolerance so I can get by with one gel cap every 12 hours for the last 6 months. It's made a huge difference in my lifestyle.

I got very sick from some seafood or something travelling in southern Spain. A friend who is a nurse had some of these- I took one dose and began to get better within hours, after having been sick for two days. These will be in my travel kit from now on!
